Garden Landscape Project FAQs

Explore our FAQ section for quick and helpful answers to our clients most commonly asked questions. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We know that planning a garden project (or even just tidying things up) can raise lots of questions, so here are some of the ones we get asked most often.

Our Services

Do you do regular garden maintenance?

No, we don’t offer weekly or fortnightly maintenance contracts - but we’re happy to pop in for one-off or seasonal jobs. Our Garden Care service is perfect if your garden just needs a bit of TLC now and then.

What garden services do you offer?

We’re here to help you get the most out of your garden, whether that’s a full transformation or just some practical help to keep things looking lovely. Our main services include garden design and landscaping (patios, lawns, decking, planting and more) as well as flexible one-off Garden Care visits for things like hedge trimming, pruning, weeding or small repairs.

Design & Landscaping Projects

Can I just update one area of my garden, like the patio or lawn?

Absolutely! You don’t have to go all-in on a complete redesign. We often help clients with single features, whether that’s a new patio, a refreshed lawn or a custom water feature. We’ll work with you to make the most of your budget and space.

How does the garden design and build process work?

It typically starts with a general chat by phone and then a site visit so we can understand your space and ideas. From there, we can create a design (if needed) and plan the build. Our team will manage everything from start to finish, sourcing materials, carrying out the work and keeping you in the loop at every stage.

If I have drainage problems, can you deal with that?

Yes, we have dealt with many difficult sites and situations and after assessment of the issue we can provide an appropriate drainage solution that will integrate with your landscaping scheme.

What if my garden needs planning permission

If anything like that comes up, we’ll let you know and guide you through the options.

Garden Care Services

How do I book a Garden Care visit?

Nice and easy, just fill out our contact form or give us a call on 01227 733447. We’ll talk through what you need, check availability and confirm everything before we book you in. Just a heads-up, spring and summer do get busy so it’s best to book early!

What are your day rates for Garden Care?

Our Garden Care visits are charged at a clear daily rate, with no hidden surprises. If any extras are needed – like mechanical tools or waste disposal – we’ll let you know upfront. Just send us a message if you’d like a copy of our current rates.

What can I book a Garden Care visit for?

Our Garden Care service covers all sorts of helpful one-off jobs, hedge trimming, pruning, pressure washing, garden clearances, lawn edging, weeding and small repairs like fixing fence panels. It’s a great way to give your garden a refresh without committing to anything long-term.

Will you take away the garden waste?

We can absolutely help with that. Waste removal isn’t automatically included but if you’d like us to take it away, we’ll agree on a clear cost in advance, so you know exactly what’s what.

Pricing & Quotes

Are garden design fees included in the build price?

Design fees are quoted separately and typically range from £600 to £1,200 for an outline design. Larger or more complex projects may require higher fees, but we’ll always be upfront about the cost.

Can I get a rough quote before a site visit?

Sure, we’re happy to give you an initial idea based on your plans or photos. But to give you a proper, tailored quote, we’ll need to see the garden in person and have a conversation about your goals.

How much does a garden design or landscaping project cost?

Prices really depend on the size and style of your garden, and what you’d like to achieve. As a general guide, full garden redesigns start from around £10,000, while updates to specific features (like patios or decking) can start from £4,000. You can check out our Pricing Guide for a breakdown or just get in touch and we’ll talk it through

Aftercare & Support

What happens if something goes wrong after the work is done?

If anything needs attention after we’ve finished, just get in touch. We take pride in our work

and will always come back to fix anything that’s not quite right. This may be a chargeable service depending on the issue.

Will you help me look after my new garden after it’s built?

Once your garden is finished, we’ll give you guidance on general aftercare. For a modest fee, we can also provide access to a detailed resource for plant care, seasonal tasks and general upkeep. We want you to enjoy it for years to come.

Location & Availability

How far in advance do I need to book?

Spring and summer are our busiest times, so it’s always a good idea to book as early as you can. For Garden Care visits a few weeks’ notice is ideal. For larger design and landscaping projects contact us a couple of months ahead if possible.

Which areas do you cover?

We work across Kent and surrounding areas, including Canterbury, Thanet, Ashford, Maidstone, Whitstable and other nearby towns. Not sure if you’re in our area? Get in touch and we’ll let you know!

If there’s anything else you’d like to know about our garden design, build or garden care services, please do not hesitate to contact us.

A New Garden by The Sea

Located near Whitstable on the Kent coast, the design of the new build house took inspiration from the local fisherman’s huts. It only felt natural to complement this aesthetic with a seaside-themed garden landscape.

A Modern Garden for Outdoor Living

As is often the case, when you move home, the garden you take on may not reflect your style or needs; it may be bigger or have elements that simply do not fit with your plans for enjoying your outdoor space. This was exactly the dilemma facing our clients near Faversham as they took on an awkward-shaped sloping garden...

A traditional country garden

Making the most of the natural beauty of the Kent countryside, a traditional country garden should reflect its outlying landscape character. Lending itself to a free-flowing, informal planting scheme, the more traditional rural landscape design will often feature wildflowers, natural water, some kitchen and cottage garden elements, and softer themes.

A Family Garden

With no existing features or character to guide the design, new-build homes with ‘blank Canvas’ plots can sometimes be more challenging to design than a more mature garden. This particular example was sloping across its entire depth and featured poor heavy clay soil. It was also an irregular awkward shape, producing lots of additional challenges.

A Seaside Garden

Separated from the beach only by a quiet road and with a commanding view across the English Channel, this fine property in Deal was let down by the garden. With a massively overgrown rockery and dilapidated crazy paving their coastal garden design was very dated, in a poor state, and completely unmanageable for our clients who are an elderly couple. They wanted us to come up with some suitable seaside garden ideas that would transform their garden.
